Thurman named president, CEO of CardioNet

CardioNet, a manufacturer of wireless medical-monitoring and diagnostic devices for cardiac arrhythmias, has appointed Randy Thurman as chairman, president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Thurman, 59, has served as chairman of the Conshohocken, Pa., devicemaker since June 2008 and as interim president and CEO since January 2009, when he replaced Arie Cohen. Under Thurman’s leadership, the company will work to implement strategic growth plans, including increasing its sales force by 70% during 2009, according to a news release.
